Buss and Littelfuse Fuse Discontinued and Hard to find 9/32" OD 4AG/ 4AB / ABS /AGS / MDC /MDM Series. Especially designed to withstand vibration, shock, fatigue and repeated off and on circuit operating conditions.
The 4AG series fuses are commonly specified in older aircraft. About 50 years ago. Buss superseded them with the AGS series fuse, which is now also obsolete leaving many aircraft owners struggling to find replacements.
The Littelfuse and Bussmann series are divided in to these 4 types
1. 4AG, Glass, AGS, MDM, 413, 411, Series Time Delay.
2. 4AB, Ceramic, ABS, MDC, 414, Time Delay.
3. 4AG, Glass, 412, Medium Time Delay.
4. 4AG, 417 Series, Fast Acting.
Little differentiates these fuses other than Fast Acting vs. Time Delay and Glass (4AG) vs Bakelite/Ceramic (4AB).
AGS Glass & ABS Ceramic Supersedes all others.
